From my heart to yours!
Vertical Church Family,
As I sit down to write this, my heart is fullâoverflowing, really, with gratitude and awe for the goodness and faithfulness of our God. He is moving among us in powerful ways. He is saving lives, building His church, deepening relationships, stirring hearts, and opening new doors. And through it all, He has proven â once again â that He is faithful to every promise, present in every season, and powerful in every situation.
We are not just observers of what God is doing â we are participants. Together, we are seeing His hand at work in ways only He can orchestrate. And I truly believe the best is yet to come.
Hereâs a glimpse of what God is doing right now through your prayers, your serving, your giving, and your faith!
Hereâs a glimpse of what God is doing right now through your prayers, your serving, your giving, and your faith!
Lives Changed â Eternity Transformed
So far in 2025, weâve witnessed something extraordinary: 43 people have surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ, and 15 of them made that decision in May alone!
Thatâs 43 stories of redemption, 43 names written in the Book of Life, and 43 reminders that the Gospel is still powerful, still relevant, and still saving. Heaven is rejoicing â and so are we!
This is what itâs all about. Every decision is another story of Godâs grace and your faithfulness to live out the mission of Making More and Better disciples of Jesus Christ. Letâs celebrate this together and keep pressing in. There are more around us who need to experience the Love of Jesus Christ for themselves!
âFor the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.â â Luke 19:10
Leadership & Staffing Update â Trusting God in Every Step
As our ministry continues to grow, we are prayerfully searching for the right leaders to join our team. Weâre actively reviewing resumes and conducting interviews â all while seeking the Holy Spiritâs wisdom to guide our decisions.
We ask for your continued prayers as we look to fill these strategic roles:
- Executive Pastor
- Associate Pastor / Director of Student Ministries
- Worship Leader
These aren't just staff positions â theyâre Kingdom callings. Weâre trusting God to bring the right people who will help us lead, shepherd, and serve our church well in the season ahead.
Financial Update â Fueling the Mission
In May, our offering totaled $63,867, compared to our monthly budget of $66,980, resulting in a shortfall of $3,113 for the month and $22,718 year-to-date.

Church, your generosity matters. Itâs what allows ministry to move forward â from weekend worship to student outreach to discipleship to local and global impact.
If you havenât yet stepped into regular giving, or if God is stirring your heart to take a next step in generosity, I encourage you to pray and respond in faith. Every gift is a seed sown into eternal impact.
âEach one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.â â 2 Corinthians 9:7
Small Groups â Life is Better Connected
At Vertical, one of our core values is: Life is Better Connected. We believe that spiritual growth happens best in the context of authentic community, and thatâs why Small Groups are a vital part of our church. As God brings more people through our doors, we need more group leaders and host homes to help others find connection, care, and growth that they desire. Prayerfully consider how God may be calling you to serve the Kingdom this way.
For many of you who have been attending a group for a season, it may be time to step up and lead one of your own. You donât need to have all the answers â just a willing heart and a desire to help others grow in faith. Weâll train and support you every step of the way.
Mark your calendars:
- Small Group Leader Training â August 17th after 2nd service (lunch and childcare will be provided)
- Small Group Fair â August 24th & 31st after both services
Our goal is to have small groups in every area and community that Vertical is reaching. Would you prayerfully consider if this is your next step?
âAnd let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together⊠but encouraging one another.â â Hebrews 10:24-25

God Is On the Move
Vertical Church, I canât say it enough â God is on the move. We are living in a season of divine momentum, and itâs a joy to be on this journey with you. Letâs continue to pray, serve, give, and grow â not for our name, but for the glory of Jesus Christ, who is building His church through ordinary people like us. Letâs continue to pray that God will make a Kingdom difference through us that is utterly disproportionate to who we are!
With a full heart and deep gratitude,
Pastor Rich

Vertical Church Family,
I am overwhelmed with gratitude as I sit down to share this update with you. God is moving among us in powerful ways, and itâs such a privilege to walk this journey together as a church family!

Celebrating Salvations
First and foremost, we continue to celebrate the incredible work God is doing through His church! Over the past several months, we have witnessed 30 individuals surrender their lives to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior! Heaven rejoices â and so do we! Jesus Himself said in Luke 15:7, "I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent."
Every story of salvation is a story of a life forever changed. Church, this is why we exist: to proclaim the life-changing gospel and see people made new by the power of Jesus Christ. Letâs continue to pray boldly, love deeply, and invite courageously â because the harvest is ripe, and God is moving mightily through Vertical Church!
Vertical Conferences: A Deeper Walk
We wrapped up two incredible events: the MORE! Womenâs Conference and the Uncommon Menâs Conference. These gatherings pressed us deeper into our mission of "Making More and Better Disciples of Jesus Christ!" and called each of us to a closer walk with Him. I prayed that God would speak personally to every attendee, calling each forward into the next step of faith He has for them, and I believe He answered!
A huge THANK YOU to all the Kingdom Difference Makers who served behind the scenes. Your willingness to use your time, energy, and giftedness for God's Kingdom reminds me of 1 Peter 4:10, "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms."
You made a difference for eternity, and I am so deeply grateful. Iâm already looking forward to what God will do through next yearâs conferences!
Leadership and Staffing Updates
We continue to seek God's guidance in leadership and staffing. We trust He is already preparing the right people to join our team and help take Vertical Church to the next level. Please be in prayer with us as we continue to search for:
- An Executive Pastor
- An Associate Pastor/Director of Student Ministry
- A Worship Leader
That being said, Iâm excited to announce that after much prayer and a unanimous decision among myself, the Elders, and the Personnel Team, DeAnna Bennett has accepted the position of Office Administrator! DeAnna brings years of experience in office administration and executive support, and we believe she will make a meaningful impact in the Kingdom here. Please join me in warmly welcoming her and praying for her as she begins this new chapter of ministry!
I also want to take a moment to publicly honor and encourage the incredible staff God has already brought together here at Vertical. These faithful servants work tirelessly behind the scenes to live out our mission of Making More and Better Disciples of Jesus Christ. Their dedication, humility, and servantâs heart are a true gift to our church.
Please continue to pray for and encourage this amazing team:
- Nicki Thurston, our Kidsâ Ministry Champion, who pours her heart into discipling the next generation and preparing for ministry opportunities like Kidsâ Camp. Her leadership, creativity, and passion for childrenâs discipleship are inspiring.
- Andy Whitten, our Director of Production and Communication, skillfully manages everything behind the scenesâsound, visuals, media, and messagingâensuring everything is communicated clearly and effectively every week.
- Sheila Odom, our Business Administrator, whose stewardship and administrative faithfulness keep the ministry's financial and organizational aspects running with integrity and excellence.
- Denia Beuligmann, our Worship Leader, leads us into God's presence each week with humility and joy. Her heart for authentic worship and love for this church family are felt every Sunday.
- Eric Walls, our Custodian, whose quiet and diligent service keeps our facility clean, prepared, and welcoming, week in and week out. His care is an extension of hospitality and excellence.
- Tabor Schmitt, our Custodian, joined our team this past fall and has been a tremendous blessing. Her work ethic and heart to serve are already making a significant Kingdom difference.
Would you join me in lifting them up regularly in prayer?
Easter Weekend: A Celebration of Hope
Church, we have so much to celebrate from Easter weekend! Good Friday was a powerful time of reflection as we considered the cost and purpose of Jesusâ life and death. We remembered the sacrifice He made for usâwillingly taking our place, bearing our sin, and paying the penalty we could never pay. Isaiah 53:5 declares, "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed." The weight of Good Friday points us directly to the joy and victory of Resurrection Sunday!
On Easter, we celebrated with full hearts the truth that Jesus is alive! His resurrection is not just an event â itâs the foundation of our faith and the hope of all humanity. As 1 Corinthians 15:20-22 reminds us, "But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive."
And church â God brought the people! We are excited to celebrate that we reached a weekend attendance high of 1,399 people across all our services! Praise God for every soul that heard the message of Jesusâ love, forgiveness, and victory! Let's pray that the seeds planted during Easter will bear fruit for His Kingdom in the weeks and months ahead.
Kidâs Camp: Opportunities to Serve
Summer is coming â and that means Kidsâ Camp is almost here! This is one of our greatest opportunities to impact young lives and families in our community for Jesus. I encourage you to not only pray for this ministry but to be a part of it!
Nicki Thurston and her incredible team have been working diligently for months. We trust God for the biggest and most impactful Kidsâ Camp yet! We need many willing hearts to step in and serve. Please consider joining the team and being a Difference Maker this summer.
Remember Jesusâ heart in Matthew 19:14, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
Your prayers, presence, and sacrifice can have an eternal impact!

Financial Update: A Step of Faith
As we move through the first quarter of the year, here is a quick financial update: We are currently $16,158 behind our budget for the year. In March, offerings totaled $80,357, while our budgeted need was $83,725. Our weekly offering needs remain $16,475.
Church, I humbly ask you to pray and consider how you might step out in faith in generosity. Scripture calls us to a heart of cheerful, faith-filled giving. 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 reminds us: "Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
Your giving makes a tangible difference â fueling ministry, impacting lives, and expanding Godâs Kingdom in our community and beyond. Letâs continue to trust Him with all we have and watch Him provide in ways we never imagined.

Church Family â God is on the move!
This is not a season to settle or step back. This is a season of preparationâa season where God is shaping, refining, and readying us for whatâs next. Letâs press in deeper, pray bolder, and serve and give with greater passion than ever before.
I love you, Iâm praying with and for you, and Iâm honored to walk this journey with you. Letâs keep going after Him with all weâve got â the best is yet to come!
4HisGlory,
Pastor Rich

God is Moving at Vertical!
Church family,
I am in awe of what God is doing in and through Vertical Church. We serve a living, active God who is still in the business of transforming lives! This year alone, 18 individuals have prayed to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ! Heaven rejoices over each of them, and so do we.

Jesus said in Luke 5:37-38, âNo one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins.â I believe that as we remain flexible and surrenderedâlike new wineskinsâGod will continue to pour His fresh work into us. The best days are not behind us; they are ahead! More lives will be forever changed. More addictions will be broken. More marriages will be restored. More families will be transformed into beacons of light for the Kingdom. Church, letâs lean in with fearless faith and unwavering expectation!
As we enter this next season, God has prepared a series of incredible weekends that will draw us closer to Him. I urge you not just to attend but to come expectantâasking God to move in your life in fresh and powerful ways.
Easter Weekend: A Celebration of Resurrection Power
Easter is not just another Sunday; it is the cornerstone of our faith! Everything begins with our Good Friday service on April 18th at 7 PM. This sacred evening is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and remember the suffering Jesus endured for us. We will worship, take communion, and let the weight of His sacrifice sink deep into our hearts. His wounds brought our healing. His suffering secured our salvation. We cannot fully celebrate the resurrection if we donât pause at the cross.
Then, on Sunday, April 20th, we will gather for three powerful worship services at 8 AM, 9:30 AM, and 11 AM. Each service will be filled with passionate worship, an inspired message from Godâs Word, and the joy of celebrating our Risen Savior. The grave could not hold Him, and because He lives, we have hope! Start praying now about who you can inviteâsomeone in your life needs to hear the good news of Jesus.
More Conference (Womenâs Event - April 26th, 8 AM - 3 PM)
Ladies, I believe this will be a divine appointment for many of you. Whether you seek deeper spiritual growth, healing from past wounds, or a fresh word from the Lord, this event is for you. Psalm 63:1 says, âO God, You are my God; earnestly I seek You; my soul thirsts for You.â This is a call to draw near, to hunger for more of Him. Join us as we encounter His presence together!

Uncommon Menâs Conference (May 2nd-3rd): A Call to Rebuild
Men, itâs time to step into the calling God has for you. Ordinary isnât working. The world needs godly menâleaders, fathers, and husbands fully surrendered to Christ. This 24-hour event is about fighting to become the men God created us to be, the husbands our wives deserve, and the fathers our kids desperately need. As Proverbs 27:17 says, âIron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.â Letâs fight for our families, fight for purity, and fight to walk in righteousness. Register today and take the next step in becoming Uncommon.

Kingdom Finances: Trusting God in Every Season
God is faithful. He is our Provider, and He has never failed us. While we fell short of our March budget, with offerings at $57,011 against a budget of $66,980 (leaving us $9,969 behind), we remain steadfast in faith. Year to date, we are $12,790 behind budget, but we trust in Jehovah Jireh, our God who provides.

Praying for Godâs Guidance in Leadership & Staffing
As our church grows, we know that God is raising the right people to help steward the vision He has given us. Please continue to pray as we seek His wisdom in hiring key leadership and staff positions. We are seeking an Executive Pastor, Associate Pastor/Director of Student Ministries, Worship Leader, and Office Administrator.

We are seeking an Executive Pastor, Associate Pastor/Director of Student Ministries, Worship Leader, and Office Administrator.
The right people in these roles will not only serve the Kingdom in a mighty way but will shepherd, equip, and disciple those entrusted to them. James 1:5 says, âIf any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.â We are actively reviewing resumes and conducting interviews, and your prayers are vital as we discern Godâs will for our churchâs future team.
Letâs Continue to Lift Our Eyes!
Church, we are in an incredible season. The Spirit of God is moving, and we get to be a part of His work! Psalm 126:3 says, âThe Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.â Letâs not grow weary but press forward in faith, generosity, and obedience. Letâs fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.

Hey Church!
I am thrilled to share that God continues to work in incredible ways at Vertical! Over the past few months, many new guests have walked through our doors, and thanks to your love and hospitality, many have chosen to make Vertical their home. It is inspiring to see people attending and seeking partnershipâcommitting to aligning their lives with the mission God has given our church. Your dedication to creating a welcoming and Christ-centered community is making an eternal impact!
As we move forward and grow this year, we are placing a strong emphasis on discipleship and spiritual leadership development. Last month, we launched a spiritual leadership development program aimed at intentionally investing in our church's leadership. We believe that to embrace where God is calling us entirely, we must establish strong, foundational spiritual leadership.
Additionally, we are hosting two impactful conferences this year to help both men and women elevate their faith. The More Conference for Women will take place on April 26th, where women will unite to embrace God's power to do immeasurably more in their lives and for His Kingdom. The Uncommon Menâs Conference, scheduled for May 2nd-3rd, is an electrifying 24-hour experience that empowers men to live boldly for Christâbecause being ordinary isnât working. Donât miss these opportunities to deepen your faithâregister today by clicking the images below!
Financially, we continue to trust God for His provision. In January, our budget was $66,980, and giving totaled $64,159, leaving us $2,821 behind budget. Our weekly budget need is $16,745, and we are asking our church family to pray and consider how they can partner with us in generosity. Your faithful giving fuels Vertical's mission and ministry, allowing us to continue Making More and Better Disciples of Jesus Christ and reaching and transforming our community one soul at a time!
We are in the middle of our Partnership Series: "Aligning Our Lives Together for Kingdom Purposes." One of our core values at Vertical is Saved People Serve People, and we need more Kingdom Difference Makers to step into serving roles across our ministries. Every Sunday happens because of the faithful people who serve, and we want to invite you to be part of making an eternal difference. If you are ready to serve and step into your calling, click the button below to sign up!
Lastly, we ask for your continued prayers as we seek Godâs wisdom and discernment in hiring key team members. We are actively receiving rĂ©sumĂ©s and conducting interviews for the positions of Executive Pastor, Associate Pastor/Director of Student Ministries, Worship Leader, and Office Administrator. These roles are critical as we continue to grow and pursue the vision God has given us. Please join us in praying that God will bring the right people, in His timing, to help lead and serve our church family well.
Letâs keep moving forward together for His Kingdom!

As we enter 2025, we eagerly anticipate the new stories of transformation He will create in our midst.
One of the ways we are preparing for the future is by praying and seeking Godâs wisdom as we interview candidates for key staff positions. These roles are vital to advancing our mission of Making More and Better Disciples of Jesus Christ. We are currently reviewing resumes and interviewing for an Executive Pastor, Associate Pastor/Director of Student Ministry, and Worship Leader. We invite you to join us in prayer as we discern His will and assemble the team He is calling to lead our church forward.
In 2024, we were blessed with $754,714 in offerings. While we didnât meet our budget of $895,962, we faithfully managed our resources, ensuring that our expenses remained within our means.
As we move into 2025, we have set a budget of $870,761. This means our weekly offering need is $16,475. This budget enables us to be fully staffed, advance individual ministries, and make a greater Kingdom difference in our communities. We believe this budget is not only achievable but can even be exceeded through your faithful giving and abundant generosity. We encourage you to pray about how you can continue to partner with us financially.
Let us enter 2025 with confidence, knowing that God is faithful and will equip us for His mission ahead. Together, we can be part of His incredible plan, witnessing transformed lives and building His Kingdom. Thank you for your prayers, support, and faithfulness as we press on for His glory!

Vertical Church Celebration
November 17, 2024 @ 6:00 p.m.
The Celebration opened with three songs:
- âHoney in the Rockâ â led by Denia
- âTrust in Godâ â led by Christina
- âLiving Hopeâ â led by Denia
Denia lead the church body in prayer.
Rodney led a devotion about communion and reminded us to examine our hearts at a time of silence. Rodney read the scripture 1 Corinthians 11:23 â 29. The body took communion together, and Rodney led us in prayer.
After communion, Benson opened the business section of the meeting.
Benson introduced the current Elders â Rodney Dilbeck, Chris Kermode, and himself, Benson Davenport.
Next, he opened the floor to questions about the budget handed out earlier.
Dan Zickefoose asked how he could make a good decision based on the budget, which was only broken down into six items. Benson stated that the budget presented was exactly like last year and that he believes there should be conversations in the future about a more detailed process. He also said that the stewardship committee and the elders have access to the detailed budget and make decisions before being brought to the church.
The question was asked: where do we stand in the budget compared to the income? Benson said that we have cut back and did not spend last yearâs budget, so we should be okay with it by the end of the year.
Mike Cheesman asked, âDoes the 2025 budget include the new hires?â. The answer was yes; the amount in the budget is for being fully staffed.
Patty Vanoven questioned what it would look like when we were fully staffed. Benson explained that currently, there are 127 people in attendance per staff member. We need to increase the staff, so we will try to bring an executive pastor and an associate/Vertical Students pastor on board.
Steve Ellis wanted to know the ideal ratio and was told it is 87 per staff member.
Rick Williams asked about the executive pastorâs role. He was told that the executive pastor would oversee the staff, members, and the building.
Philip Hines wanted to know the timeline for the new positions. Benson stated that they want to fill those positions as soon as possible. Philip questioned whether the hiring process will be transparent to the people it will affect. He was told that the pastor would review the candidates, and then the personnel team would decide who to hire.
Benson asked if there were any more questions, and upon hearing none, the meeting moved to the next stage.
Benson stated that the Elders had already met, made motions, and seconded them to bring the following candidates to the church body. Therefore, he had each future team members introduce themselves and their spouses.
Future Elder â Bill Thomason and wife Michelle: Bill has attended Vertical for 5 years. His father passed away when Bill was very young, so he was raised by his mom in a Christian home. He was saved in 7th grade at a church camp and has held several volunteer positions at different churches and camps. He served as a camp counselor, Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School teacher, and camp board member. Bill currently leads a small group in his home. He and his wife Michelle have two children.
Future Stewardship Committee Member â
David River Luecke and wife Laura:
River has been a partner at Vertical Church for almost two years and serves on the Uncommon Menâs Conference and Guest Services teams.
Amy Pritchett and husband John: They have attended the church since 2014 and have been partners since 2015. Amy grew up in church. Amy works on the counting team, and John works on the tech team and with Vertical Students.
Benson introduced the personnel team members Bob Hinton and Beth Howard. Benson clarified that Bob works for him at Titan Construction, but they prayed and agreed they could work together on this team without conflict of interest. Benson shared that he (Benson) is the elder who serves on the team and is more of just a conduit of information to and from the team.
Personnel Team Committee Member â
Jill Popp and husband Bobby: Jill has attended Vertical church for over ten years. As a couple, they serve in Vertical Kids and help lead a small group, âFriday Night Lights.â
The question was raised, âWho is on the Stewardship Team?â Benson informed them that Hollie Ambrose and Kent Walden were the other two team members.
Benson prayed over the candidates.

Next, the church partners were asked to come to the iPads at the front of the church to vote on the budget and the future members of the team.
Sheila Odom, Business Administrator; Benson Davenport, Head Elder; and Matt Beuligmann, Member at large, reviewed the results again. 101 partners voted. The budget passed, and the candidates were elected with a majority vote.
The business portion ended, and Pastor Rich began the celebration.
Pastor Rich shared that a young lady was saved after 2nd service, and the light will be on next Sunday. He explained the You Version Bible App, where Vertical attendees can take notes, the Church Center App, where you can watch live on Sunday, and the 411 communication on the app.
Items to be praised:
Kids Camp: There were an average of 131 kids per day, with 3 to 5 salvations. He also shared that Nicki Thurston is reaching out to see if Vertical could be a training center for the company that publishes our materials.

Vertical Students: Attendance averages 107 students. Eight salvations have occurred in the last six weeks. A Student Discipleship class will also start soon on Sunday mornings to help disciple the new converts.
In 2024, as a church, we had 30 salvations and 24 baptisms.
Pastor Rich closed with a devotion on Soul Care, using Isaiah 43:18 â 19 and Mark 2:22 focusing on our personal posture of: hands open to praise God, palms open to receive from God, and arms open to embrace what God is doing. He said, "We need to become new wineskins."
The worship team led us in the song âNew Wine.â
Pastor Rich returned and invited the church to join him in becoming new wineskins, ready for the newness that the Lord Jesus was pouring into us by making a commitment through reading the following statement.

Hey Church, just a reminder of our upcoming Vertical Celebration this Sunday night at 6pm. Itâs a special time we set aside to praise Jesus together, reflect on what He is doing among us, and look forward to His plans for our church. As a congregation, we believe that the mission of Jesus is accomplished best when we partner together in unity and purpose. During this time, we will also be voting on our churchâs 2025 proposed budget and affirming key Kingdom difference-makersâElder, Personnel Team, and Stewardship Team members. They are called to support our church family as we pursue our mission of Making More and Better Disciples of Jesus Christ.
Please be praying for them as they seek to serve Jesus and our church family in these vital roles. May God grant them wisdom, discernment, and a deep love for His church as they prepare to step into this season. We look forward to celebrating together, and we encourage each of you to come with hearts open to worship and ready to participate in what God is doing in and through Vertical. Letâs gather as one church family to praise, pray, and partner for the Kingdom work ahead. We look forward to seeing you there!

Hello Church,
We are thrilled to invite you to join us for our Vertical Celebration on Sunday, November 17th, at 6 pm! (6p-7:30p) This special gathering is an opportunity to come together as a church family and praise Jesus for all He has done through our community throughout 2024. Weâll look back and celebrate His faithfulness and blessings, honoring how He has moved in each ministry area and our lives individually. There is so much to be grateful for, and we canât wait to worship and rejoice with you.
As part of the evening, our church partners will have the opportunity to vote on the proposed 2025 budget and new elder and personnel team nominees. Weâll also share a glimpse into the vision God has given us for the year aheadâwhere we believe He is leading us as we continue to grow and reach out to our community and beyond.
The evening will include a time of worship and personal reflection through communion as we come together in unity and reverence. Letâs set aside this time to thank God for His provision, seek His guidance, and celebrate our future together as a church. We hope to see you there, ready to praise His and commit our plans to His will!

VERTICAL 411
10.15.2024
Hello Vertical Family,
Welcome to Vertical 411. As a way to communicate how God is moving in our church and what is coming next, we have launched this digital avenue as an experiment to keep our church family informed. Enjoy!
Lives Being Changed
We praise God and celebrate all He is doing in and through Vertical Church! This year, weâve witnessed 20 salvations and 24 baptismsâeach representing a life transformed by the power of the gospel and going public with their faith. These moments are a powerful reminder of why we exist as a church: to Make More and Better Disciples of Jesus Christ. We are thankful for every heart that has responded to Godâs call, and we celebrate with our church family for these incredible testimonies of His grace.
Upcoming Updates
In addition to these spiritual milestones, we are excited to share some coming updates around our church! Keep your eyes open over the next several months. You will notice some changes in the lobby. Weâre making updates to continue to create a warm, welcoming space for everyone who walks through our doors. Our merch store will also be refreshed with new items that represent the heart and mission of Vertical. When they drop, be sure to stop by and check out the latest gear! We are also thrilled to announce that we are in the developmental stage of a new ministry we will experiment with to help better connect our guests and those who are new with us at Vertical.
Team Building & Prayer
As we continue to step into all that God has for us, we ask that you join us in prayer for the next season of our church. We are in the process of building our team and are currently searching for an Executive Pastor, Associate Pastor/Director of Student Ministry, and Worship Leader. Please lift up these roles in prayer as we seek the right leaders to help carry forward the vision and mission of Vertical Church. We are also in the final stages of interviewing candidates for a campus custodian and will soon begin the search for an office administrator. Your prayers are vital as we trust Godâs timing and provision for each of these important positions.
Community Connection
God has also blessed us with incredible opportunities to serve our community through our Community Impact Team. Recently, we partnered with Toyota Christian Fellowship and the Isaiah 1:17 Project for their Dreamcycle event, which helped bring joy and support to foster families and children they were blessing. Additionally, we had the privilege of leading the concession stand during Gibson Southernâs 50th anniversary night football game, connecting with many in our local community.
We are eagerly preparing for our upcoming Trunk or Treat event on October 27th, where we expect to engage with over 1,000 people. These events are an extension of our mission to share Christ's love beyond the church's walls, and weâre excited to see how God will continue to use these partnerships for His glory.
Finances
As we step forward in faith, we also want to share an update on our financial picture. Through September 2024, our total offerings have reached $562,839, compared to a budget of $671,971. While we are behind where weâd hoped to be, we are ahead of where we were last year at this time and are working diligently to be good stewards of the resources God has entrusted us. We remain confident in Godâs provision and trust Him as we finish the year. We are so grateful for your faithful giving, which enables us to fulfill our mission and invest in the ministries that impact lives within our church and the community. If you havenât had the opportunity yet, we encourage you to prayerfully consider how you might partner with us in this season.
We believe the best is yet to come for Vertical Church, and we canât wait to see how God will continue to move among us. Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, weâre making an eternal impact!
If you have any questions, please feel free to connect with our elders, as they are here to lead, serve, and love this amazing church.
Praying God is blessing you greatly!
